Leeds University Residency

Twelve second year dance students worked along side Kate Mason for one week, in which the whole group collaborated with Kate to generate material for Blends. The work was created in the Yorkshire Sculpture Centre and was inspired by the contemporary design of the centre and forms found in the wider landscape and sculpture of the park.

Sheffield University Contemporary Dance Society Residency

Thirteen students from the University's Contemporary Dance Society attended a week fuelled by technique and choreography, which lead to Standing Room Only, directed by Kate Mason. The work explores social interaction and the quirks of communication through dance. The work was performed at the Foundry, Sheffield University Union.
