About Mobius Dance Theatre

Mobius delivers high-octane theatrical works with a quirky edge. Artistic Director Kate Mason strives to create accessible works, which can be enjoyed by all and taken in to various performance settings along side highly impactive educational work, which is tailored to inspire and energise all ages and abilities.

Kate was born in Sheffield where she began her dance training, then went on to study at Laban, completing a BA (Hons). Kate has performed for Pivotal Dance, Tupelo Hardware, Ascendance Repetory Company, Topiary Dance Company, Motionhouse Dance Theatre, Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company / Jess Curtis (Gravity USA) and State of Emergency.

Kate has shown work nationally and has choreographed for Ascendance and worked with Bare Bones. Her teaching has taken her throughout the country working for establishments such as DanceXchange, Leeds University, Derby Dance Centre, Coventry University and De Montford University.

Kate founded Mobius in 2002. Mobius have recieved project based funding from the Arts Council England, West Midland and Yorkshire from 2003.
